What’s been happening:

After working as a writer for the United Presbyterian Church, USA and the United Lutheran Church in America and as an editor for Friendship Press, National Council of the Churches of Christ publishing unit, I was editor for 12 years of Lutheran Women, publication of Lutheran Church Women of the Lutheran Church in America. Ordained in 1974, I was the first woman to be sole pastor of a congregation in the Southeastern Pennsylvania Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. During 28 years of parish ministry I was also adjunct faculty in homiletics for then Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary, now Palmer Theological Seminary, in Philadelphia, PA for 12 years. Since October 1970 I have been volunteer editor of The Women's Pulpit, publication of the International Association of Women Ministers (IAWM). I was the first woman elected president of the Associated Church Press of North America (in 1971); I continue as a member of the organization by virtue of my volunteer service to IAWM.
